Branding is a tricking thing – creating a visual identity for a new company from scratch is a daunting task, but not necessarily without fun.

Rebranding an established company presents its own challenges with words like “refresh” and “relevant” being bandied around and getting sign-off from multiple levels of management. Consequently, not every rebranding exercise could be considered successful and this blog from design agency Marvellous takes a look at some of the more high profile recent rebrands and reactions from the design community.

I’ve highlighted this blog partly for it’s coverage of rebranding but also as a good example of taking an impartial look at rebranding projects and giving a constructive critique.
